Camberwick Green Bagatelle

Camberwick Green bagatelle, made in Gt. Britain by Marx Toys in the late 1960's. The bagatelle has a tin base featuring all the popular characters and a clear plastic case. A lovely toy in good condition, 34.5cm (13½") tall.

Chad Valley Give A Show Watch With Mother Projector. 112 colour slides with 16 stories featuring The Herbs, Hectors House, Pogles Wood and Joe. The projector is complete with the well illustrated box with all internal packing pieces and a screen to project the pictures on inside the lid. Condition is very good, box has been repaired on the lid corners. Quite a rare item packed with BBC TV nostalgia.

Talking Trumpton Fire Engine made by Tomy for Bradgate (Palitoy) c. 1970's. Very hard to find and desirable toy with sound mechanism "Fire! Fire! call out the Trumpton Fireman Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grubb," plus whistle and bell sounds. Toy has six Fireman and extending platform and is in good to very good condition, sound mechanism working well. Fire Engine is 22cm (8¾") long.

Early Children's T.V.. associated with this very rare toy. Mr Pastry Pop Apart Target Game. Made in England by Mettoy c. 1950's. Richard Hearne as Mr Pastry was a popular CTV character in the days of Black and White TV. The game is boxed and in good, to very good condition, the object to fire a safety dart from a pistol, when Mr Pastry's Moustache is hit his bowler hat flies off. The game is complete apart from one of the four darts and working perfectly.

Roobarb Colour T.V. Show, nostalgia from the BBC children's programme Roobarb and Custard. This very rare toy has a box that makes up into a T.V. set with characters and scenery to perform Roobarb Cartoon Shows. The toy is complete with two scripts and is in excellent unused condition with characters and scenery still unpunched from their original cards. £55.00 = $79.00. = EUR 89.00.


Basil Brush Glove Puppet with talking mechanism made in England by Denys Fisher c. 1970's. This is the rarest version of a great toy dressed in a tweed coat, orange waistcoat and green scarf. There is a ring pull at the base of the tail that when pulled activates the sound mechanism in an authentic Basil voice, included is the famous Basil "Boom Boom" with laugh, and "My name is Brush, Basil Brush" condition is very good sound unit working perfectly.

Very rare Bill or Ben Flower Pot Men glove puppet. I believe this toy to be by Chad Valley c.1950's, to my knowledge there was only one style made, one puppet to represent both Bill and Ben. The toy has a velvet fabric plant pot with a wire in the rim to keep it rigid, the puppet attached to the inside the pot and is operated from the bottom of the plant pot. Condition is very good, slight loss of paint to the top of the puppets hat and two very small holes in the body fabric at the back. Wonderful nostalgia. very hard to find item, I have only seen four examples.

Rare Camberwick Green Play Tray Puzzle. Made in England by G. J. Hayter & Co., (Spears) c.1973. Wooden play tray 24 x 31cm (9½" x 12¼") with twelve lift out characters from the T.V. programme. Very nice item in good condition the figures are lithographed paper on plywood, slight damage to Packet otherwise good.

Andy Pandy Glove Puppets. Two versions both made by Chad Valley, one with vinyl moulded head and hands the other with fabric hands, vinyl head. Both have Chad Valley tags and are in good condition. The fabric on the moulded hands toy is a bit grubby. The toys date circa late 60's early 70's.

My Annette Mills Gift Book. Very nice hardback book with 61p.p. featuring Muffin the Mule, Prudence Kitten, Charlie Parkin and colonel Crock, stories written by Annette Mills, illustrations by Molly Blake, George Fry and Edward Andrewes, all pages are illustrated in full colour. The book published by Heirloom Library, London c.1953. Condition is very good to excellent inscription written in inscription page dated 1954. Now quite a hard book to find.

Rare item The Flumps Annual 1978. The Flumps was not a programme for which there was much merchandise produced and that that was is very hard to find. This annual published in 1977 by World Distributors is packed with pictures of the actual puppet characters from the show. Condition overall is very good , there is some very light scribble on seven of the pages.

The Flumps 30 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle. Flumps merchandise is quite hard to find, nice puzzle by Whitman Publishing c.1970. Puzzle is complete in excellent condition, in original box which is also in very good condition. £35.00. = $65.00. = EUR 51.00.


Rare Tom & Gerry Give A Show Projector. Made in England by Chad Valley c.1960's. Great nostalgic item, a sheet hung on the wall, trying to get the room dark enough to see the pictures!. Battery powered projector and fifteen double film strips, (sliderama two pictured on each frame), featuring the antics of the cartoon favorites Tom and Jerry. Lovely item in excellent condition the toy has seen little if any use, box has slight tape damage on two side flaps.

Buttons Annual published by Polystyle Publications 1983. Annual features a whole host of CTV characters including Morph, Gran, Postman Pat, Noah and Nelly, King Rollo, The Flumps and others. Condition is good.
